StarBlaze SAW 347
AWS A5.9: ER 347 | EN 12072: 19 9 Nb
StarBlaze SAW 347 is a niobium-stabilised stainless steel wire designed for Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) of austenitic stainless steels such as AISI 321 and 347. With a 19Cr/9Ni composition, this wire resists intergranular corrosion by minimising chromium carbide precipitation, thanks to niobium content (Nb ≥ 10×C). It is suitable for fabrication work in industries exposed to corrosive environments at service temperatures below 400°C, and is also used in cryogenic applications. A specialised anti-spatter reagent coating ensures smooth feeding and clean welds in high-deposition SAW processes.
