Buffer-Ready, Smooth Arc, Dissimilar and Cladding Specialist
Rutile-basic 23Cr–12Ni electrode with approx. 15% ferrite for welding dissimilar stainless to low alloyed steels. Suitable for buffer layers before hardfacing and cladding on 18/8 type substrates. Produces smooth, spatter-free welds with easy slag removal and stable arc re-striking, even in multi-pass repair operations.

Additional Details
- Use case: Joining dissimilar steels, buffer-layer welding, and stainless overlays in high-temperature systems
- Handling: Redry at 250–300°C for 1 hour if exposed to humidity or unsealed conditions
- Storage: Maintain in sealed packaging or controlled drying cabinets
- Limitations: Not suitable for root passes or thin-walled stainless unless backed with purging
