AWS A5.9: ER 309 | EN 12072: 23 12 StarBlaze SAW 309 is a stainless steel welding wire designed for Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) applications requiring dissimilar metal joining and barrier layer deposition. With a 23Cr/12Ni composition, it is ideal for welding mild steel to stainless steel or for depositing an intermediate layer before welding with 308-grade stainless steel. Controlled carbon and ferrite levels ensure improved microstructural stability and high-temperature strength.
