StarBlaze MIG 2209
AWS A5.9: ER 2209 | EN ISO 14343-A: G 22 9 3 N L
StarBlaze MIG 2209 is a precision layer-wound solid MIG welding wire for duplex stainless steels. It deposits a low-carbon, 22Cr/8Ni/3Mo weld metal with nitrogen addition to deliver excellent resistance against pitting and stress corrosion cracking, especially in chloride-rich environments. With 2–3% higher nickel content than base metals, the wire ensures a balanced austenite–ferrite microstructure in the as-welded condition. Ideal for pipe and plate fabrication in aggressive chemical and marine service.
